The Process: From Your Photo to Art on The Wall
Initial Consultation
Step 1: Fill out the contact form below to start the portrait process or to ask questions.
Step 2: Provide your phone number and availability to schedule a time to discuss your preferences related to color palette, background, personality of your pet, size of the wooden panel, and anything else you think will help create your perfect portrait.
Before we speak, you'll receive an email address where you can upload photos of your pet for the call.
Step 3: After we discuss your amazing pet, and if you would like to move forward, I will ask you to submit a $50 deposit through this website or directly to my Venmo account.
My pet portraits are a creation of love: the combination of a photo of your pet, my artistic skills – and imagination! The goal is to capture the essence of your pet to delight you with a finished work of art. Follow the steps below to begin the process and to find out how your pet's portrait is created.
The Artistic Process
NOTE: The photographs, images, and finished art used in the pet portraits are not AI-generated!
Custom pet portraits are created using my own original photographed images that include acrylic painted monoprints, photographs, decorative handmade papers, and surface textures of anything in the physical world. I use digital apps to combine the images with the original photo of your pet. The artistic process can take more than a week. When I am happy with the image, it is sent to a professional printer.
The professionally printed image is then mounted on a prepared wooden panel using archival glue and given two coats of protective UV spray. Picture wire and wall bumpers are attached to the back of the board along with a Sunny Skies label. I also include a picture hanger for your convenience.
Details
Sizes: There are currently three sizes of wooden panels offered: 8"x 8" square, 10"x 10" square, and 9"x 12" rectangle.
I plan to add larger sizes in the future.
Depth of Panels: I offer 7/8" depth wooden panels, but you can also choose custom sizes.
Shipping: The entire portrait may take up to two weeks to complete and shipping times will vary. Shipping is through USPS.
Prices: The cost of a 10" x 10"and 9" x 12" finished portrait is $150 plus shipping. The 8"x 8' square portrait size is $120 plus shipping.
Prints: Prints of finished portraits are available for purchase on the Print Shop page. Prints mounted onto a finished wooden panel is an option available in the Print Shop choices.
